 | Established since 1998 Primrose Fayre is a family run business. My name is Jane Bevan and I am the Owner/Manager of the company. I treat each customer with the utmost care and attention making each occasion special. Over the years I have built up excellent customer relations and regular contract bookings. I have a great passion for food and I always take special care with the presentation of the food. I can provide simple funeral teas to elaborate wedding buffets. Most of the food is prepared from home and by doing this I can afford to keep the costs down, which I deem very important for the customers especially in these difficult times. My mum was a great believer in traditional home-cooked food and since she died over 30 years ago, I have strived to carry on the tradition of good home cooking. The majority of the food is traditional and home baked, something which I have always believed in. Since being diagnosed as dairy intolerant, I found it very difficult to buy good quality cakes and bakes that were dairy free. Also with two boys I feel so strongly about children and adults having a healthy diet and not too much sugar, so I have developed my own range of dairy and sugar free cakes and bakes, gluten free sponges and dairy and yeast free bread. They really are delicious and there are no artificial flavours, colours or preservatives in any of them. For the sweetening, I use a product called Xylitol which is a natural product made from the silver birch tree. It is more expensive than normal sugar, so I have reflected this in the price, but they are still very affordable. I feel it is so important to have a healthy diet, especially with our children.
